NEST

community connection through cooking and sharing a meal

NEST brings people together from different backgrounds, circumstances, ages and nationalities, hosted by our team of trained nutritionists and dieticians. The group sessions are run in fun and friendly environments where we teach simple, healthy cooking on a budget. The real impact is when we sit down to share a meal together and have conversations about the positive change NEST makes to people’s lives in so many lasting ways.

This is why it was so important to get back to face-to-face NEST sessions in all six locations – Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Newcastle and Sydney.  The team also ran successful pilots in regional areas and a NEST Youth program for 14-18 year olds.

After my wife died, I relied a lot on frozen and canned food from the supermarket as I had no idea how to cook. NEST gave me new found skills and I can now make minestrone soup from scratch
